Thursday Favorites {A Treasury}

So often, I browse Etsy, mark an item or a shop as a favorite and then never look at the stuff again.

Most of the things that I {heart} on Etsy are things that I want for myself or that I love looking at.

Today I decided to honor some of those favorite things by listing them in a treasury.

This is my WISH list, and I wanted to share it with you (not because I want presents) but because I want to show my appreciation to these fantastic little artists for all of their hard work, I know that running an Etsy shop isn't easy. These are the little things that I think about after I close my computer....Seriously, Hand Crafted Wooden cat eye glasses, SWOON!

To visit my treasury, or any of the items below, click here: Thursday Favorites

Owls are my favorite animal, but I recently admitted to my students that foxes are my 2nd favorite.....

Have you ever made a treasury on Etsy?

Custom Planner

Teeeheeee!! I am so glad she liked it!!! I have a single item listed in my Etsy shop, This Little Shop of Mine, at the moment: a custom planner.

I have only sold a couple of these and I don't promote it much simply because I work full time and I do it mainly as a hobby. Anyway, here is what Tame said about her planner:

WOW WOW WOW!!! I just got back from vacation, and this was one of the items that greeted me upon arrival :) It is SO BEAUTIFUL & FUNCTIONAL!! I've already have marvelous ideas for its future :) I can use it as a planner, journal, and project organizer (especially for my scrapbooking), and keep things all in one place (relatively!) Thanks so much for working with me on this creation, and I'll DEFINITELY be back for more items, and next years planner. Without a doubt the most creative & most favorite planner I've ever purchased :) Take care---Tame

In order to provide her with exactly what she wanted, I had her make a list of things she would ideally love to have in a planner designed especially for her:
I love these type of planner journals, especially stickers, patchwork, recycled, etc pages. Would it be possible to add about 4 pages for address/phone numbers, 15 pages for to do/projects, 12 pages for monthly finances/budget, 5 pages for lists (eg. one for books to read, one for movies to see, one for shopping to do, one for presents to purchase, and one for music to listen to), 2 pages for favorite websites, one page for passwords, and the rest of the journal be the monthly calendar page, daily planner sheets, and several pages stuck in for notes/doodles/scrapbook capability?
I really don't care what order the pages come in, what items/collages get stuck onto what, I really do like to be surprised!
Favorite colours tend toward royal blue-purples, burgandy, and orange-red.

Here is a peek at what she received:

Custom-ish Monthly budget sheet. This is printed on the back of each month's calendar page so that the finances for the month can be easily recorded. I tried to leave a bunch of blanks because I wasn't sure what she would exactly need for her personal budget:

Address book

Fun Dividers in Purple:

I added a few little cute stickers, but left the pages open so she could paste in her own pictures and ephemera:

"To-Do" Pages

"Journal" pages

Tame had requested a page for her favorite websites and also a place for passwords....I decided to try to help her keep her passwords private, so I hid the password list sheet under this cute Hambly owl:

Of course there are other surprises hidden throughout the book. I am so glad that she likes it! I had a lot of fun creating it just for her. Thanks for reading! If you are interested in your own customized planner, check out my shop!

iPhone Love

Ever since I saw it over on Etsy, I have had a little icon of a plush iPhone case on my desktop. I kept clicking on it. My brain went back to that image of little felt iPhone applications over and over again. In my head, it was the coolest thing I had seen....ever....So I had to finally order one. But I decided that a little felt iPhone cover wouldn't be enough. I wouldn't let myself use it as a phone cover because it would get totally torn up, dirty and ruined in my purse...But if I didn't use it for a phone case, what the heck would I do with it? Frame it?

That is exactly what I am going to do. I ordered an 8X10, custom iPhone felt wall hanging. It is on its way....I am soooo excited!! Happy early Christmas to me. ;-)

Thank you, Nico...I can hardly wait to get it!!

Go check out plushism, I am sure you will find something really cool to drool over...who knows, you might find something you can't live without. Next for me, camera case....maybe in wall hanging form as well.

Happy World Card Making Day

Yay!! Today is 'World Card Making Day!!"

It has been a busy week! Whew! I thought I would've had time to make some cards this week, but every time I walk into my craft room, I just look around and sigh. It is such a pit at the moment. It is completely unorganized after the Christmas Card workshop last Monday, Friday crop and 2 home gatherings last week! I just haven't had time to get everything sorted out and put back in its home. I hope to do that at some point this weekend.

Maybe tonight I can sit down and clean for an hour and then make stuff for a few hours after that. I am baking up some cinnamon rolls for a brunch/meeting with area art teachers...then I have a photo shoot this afternoon with a friend. I have lots of crafty ideas and I need to get them done before October totally hits me with craziness.

I thought it would be fun to post some pictures of the Christmas Card sets I made for my Etsy shop. I made these way back in July, but I wanted to wait until a little closer to Christmas before putting them in the shop.

Set #1
Set of 6 standard-sized Christmas cards with envelopes. The cards are hand-stamped and embossed.
The envelopes have matching stamping and the paper on the front of the card is embossed with some glitter. Only 6$

Set # 2

The envelopes have matching stamping and the inside of the card says 'Merry Christmas.'

Set #3

Each set comes with matching envelopes and features hand embossing, an interior greeting and free envelope seals!

If you are interested in picking up a set for yourself or as a gift for Christmas, check out my Etsy shop!

Okay. It is time for a give away! It has been awhile since I gave anything away at this blog. So here goes. I have one more set of 6 cards. I haven't posted these in my shop yet so I will give you a chance to win them. Now, you don't have to use them as your own Christmas cards this year, but you could give them as a gift if you would like!

All you have to do is visit my Etsy shop and leave me a comment on THIS blog post by 10:00 p.m. Sunday October 2nd. (Also, please add my shop as a favorite if you are also on Etsy!) I will select a winner from the comments and email you with information about the card set. Here is a picture of what you will be getting:
